Services
David spent the next 6 years working on Narrow Boats in Bradford-On-Avon Marina.
During this period he also undertook projects for the Canal Trust.
Undoubtedly he was awarded these due to his well respected reputation for quality of workmanship and reliability.
Most of the projects were whilst the boats remained on water.
So this meant it was imperative that he worked to precise measurements and angles.
After all, you cannot use a level on water.
The next stage in his career was to secure a City & Guilds qualification in plumbing.
However, Renovating a property back to its former beauty is something else.
It takes a great deal of research, knowledge and understanding.
Renovating properly enables you to restore the character that is so often lost by modern updates.
Working to meet your needs for a functional home, David will restore your property sympathetically.
At the same time, he will ensure that he incorporates all of the elements that are required to enjoy comfortable 21st century living.
Here are some examples where David has renovated period properties to bring them back to life.
Kitchens are often described as the hub of the home.
With this in mind, firstly, before you head to the showroom, it is important that you have thought about how you will use the space.
To allow for storage around the outside, the client chose to have their hob in their island.
Most notably, this is home to a discreet pop up extractor.
There are also two wine fridges, one either end of the island.
The far end unit is home to the fridge/freezer.
The TV is fixed on the wall between the two display cabinets, right in the line of the seats at the island.
Bathrooms can be the most labour intensive when it comes to updating them.
There is so much 'behind the scene' work that needs to take place.
This includes getting the pipework in place and any replastering to make good the walls for tiling.
On average, the work can take two to three weeks to complete.
The first thing you need is a plan.
This is your opportunity to give your room a total makeover.
So forget the existing template and think about how the space can work to suit your lifestyle.
Do you want a bath and shower?
Regardless of the age of your property, fitted wardrobes can transform bedrooms.
Maximising storage possibilities is one of the vital keys to making the room a peaceful space that you can relax in.
By making the most of spaces such as alcoves and sloping ceilings, not only will the space look great, but you will be able to house so much.
Whether starting from scratch, or using a ready built kit with doors to suit your tastes and the period of your home, David can help you to transform your bedroom into a functional, yet beautiful, space.
